This is a full day tour that starts EVERY DAY at 9:30 a.m. in the harbor of Poreč. After seeing the panorama of the Poreč lagoon, the small fishing village of Funtana, Vrsar and one of the largest nudist camps in Europe, KOVERSAD you'll have the opportunity to visit the true tourist and historical attraction - the city of ROVINJ. It is located on an islet not far from the coast, which has become a peninsula through the history. The town is dominated by the church of St. Euphemia, who is also the patron of Rovinj. Her statue is located on the church bell tower 70 m above the sea level. The bell tower is open during our visit to Rovinj.
Small, steep, stone streets will bring you to the church, while getting you acquainted with the art of many forms and époques, as well as with a plain and peaceful life of the local people. You will see Rovinj's old fishermen, their fishing nets and batana boats, which are authentic for Istria and Rovinj. The old part of the town has been well preserved throughout history and is now a perfect place to take pictures. You will have 2 hours to go sightseeing in Rovinj by yourself. After boarding and departing from the harbor of Rovinj, we will have 30 minutes of sailing up to the LIM BAY. In Roman times LIMES was the border between Italy and Dalmatia. Today's Lim Bay is a Nature Park and a rich habitat of many Mediterranean plants and animals, both in water and on the shores. This area is rich with underground freshwater springs that favor the life of the bay. While sailing in the Lim Bay you'll have the opportunity to see the Pirate cave, fish and shell farms and the beautiful vegetation that comes down to the sea surface on both sides of the bay. This part of paradise is a natural shelter that sailors have been using for centuries to hide from strong winds and storms.
While we are sailing in this enchanting environment, we will serve you lunch on board. Grilled mackerel, cold seasonal salad and bread, wine and juice. For those who do not eat fish we will cook chicken and sausage, as well as a vegetarian meal. After lunch, we will continue sailing to Vrsar where we have our second stop, 1,5 hours long. You can use this time for swimming on the nearby beach, just 10 minutes on foot from the boat dock. You can also refresh yourself with drinks or ice cream in one of the nearby cafes. The old town of Orsera has rich history and architecture and is a perfect spot for taking pictures. You will be entertained by our musician and animator on board after leaving the harbor of Vrsar.
The return to the harbor of Porec is scheduled at 5:30 p.m. Throughout the duration of the tour on board, you will be informed by our guide. Our nice crew will also provide you with all the information you need. Fish picnic excursion is the most visited tour, especially by families with children and friends who want to spend a pleasant day together.
